Ask a rich person dying of a completely preventable disease how much he or she would pay to get their younger, healthier body back.
I guarantee that 99% of the time, their answer will be “every penny that I have.”
But the sad truth, is that they can’t.
Because you cannot BUY health; it’s not something you can replenish with the use of money when your inventory is running low.
You can however, cultivate it by nurturing and protecting what you already have. If you’re completely out of shape but are fortunate enough not to fall victim to any of the diseases that come bundled with it, you can still turn things around. That I can promise you.
See, most of the population is already born healthy.
If you’ve ever played a video game, then it’s exactly like starting off at the first stage, with a life bar at 100%.
All you have to do is avoid the obvious obstacles that will cause harm, and actively do things that will enhance what you already have. Best of all, this can be done for free, on your own, without need for gyms, diet books and coaching programs.
“Wait coach, doesn’t your entire business revolve around selling books, programs and coaching courses?”
Absolutely. But I have the balls to tell you something most trainers don’t: we aren’t a necessity.
We simply aren’t. The benefits we provide – better looking bodies, greater health, increased energy, improved performance etc. can all be had if you do your own research and are willing to put in the trial and error in or out of the gym.
After all, someone somewhere decided to lift heavy things over and over again, only to notice that it did wonders for their physique and well being. The basics aren’t that hard to figure out.
So if trainers aren’t a necessity, how do I stay in business?
Well, because I’m damn good at what I do. I’ll help you cultivate health as fast as humanly possible, and in exchange you’ll help me by giving me money. This does two things:
1. Saves you time
2. Guarantees results
Again, don’t let anyone fool you into thinking you can buy your way to health. Buying detox kits, supplements, and fancy workout gadgets are band-aid solutions.
If you decide to invest in something like the Fat Loss Blueprint for example, you’re not really buying a product, you’re buying a proven PROCESS.
You’re exchanging money in order to get something that is proven to work based on trail and error of the hundreds of people who have succeeded before you. This saves you the time and headaches that come with blazing your own path.
But, it just so happens that marketing and selling a “process” is challenging. No one wants to buy that, people want something tangible (either physical or digital). So as trainers, we wrap it in a package that sells more like a product. It’s just what consumers are more comfortable with.
It’s sort of like medicine for kids. You’re not going to sell a child or their parent on dextromethorphan – this name alone will scare them shitless.
But if you package it in a friendly bottle as a “magic syrup” that gets rid of coughs, and is bubble gum flavored, now all of a sudden it becomes a much easier sell. Kids are comfortable with bubble gym, and drinking something in liquid form is something humans have been doing for a while.
